World Boss Changes 1: Tempest

Boss Spawn Changes

• The following bosses' spawn method has been changed: Red Dragon, Kraken, Hanure the Berserker
• Each boss will now have an "egg" (or a gong for Berserker) responsible for managing their spawn timers
• The egg works as follow:
  • Growth phase: 56 hours (160 hours for berserker)
    • The egg is visible and shows its timer to the Active phase
  • Active phase: 1 hour
    • The egg can be touched by any player to spawn the boss.
  • Cooldown phase: 2 hours
    • The egg goes invisible while the fight occurs
    • After cooldown, the boss enters growth again

Boss Equipment Updates

• World Boss Shields have had bonus +Physical Defense green text added to them to bring them in line with shields of similar grades.
  • Bleak Arcadian Sea Guardian, Berserker's Plate, Stalwart Berserker's Plate and Berserk Red Dragon Fireguard will see these changes
• Berserker Equipment Improvements
  • All Berserker Equipment have had their iLvls buffed to match Ayanad equipment (iLvl 62)
  • Berserker Equipment can now be crafted to a T2 Version using a single Berserker's Horn to increase the effects of their active buffs
    • T2 Nodachi - Buff Duration increased to 12s
    • T2 Bow - Buff Duration Increased to 12s
    • T2 Shield - Recieved Damage Decrease Effect increased to 12%
    • T2 Club - Healing Coeffcient of its active increased by 20%
  • All Berserker Regrade Rates have been changed to Match Other Boss Gear Now
• Kraken Equipment Changes
  • All T2 Kraken Equipment (Bleak Versions) have had their iLvls buffed to Match Ayanad Equipment (iLvl 62)
  • The Potency of Kraken Inc Sacs has increased, now making T2 Kraken Crafts only requiring 1 Ink Sac to Upgrade
• Conflict for the Red Dragon's Domain escalates
  • The Dragon has hardened it's scales while airborne, becoming immune to regular player attacks
  • Red Dragon Harpoons have been enhanced, now dealing double their regular damage
  • Red Dragon Devastor has been added to the Crafting Bench in Karkasse
    • This is an Iron Clad retrofitted to shoot massive ballistae specifically meant to pierce the Dragon's toughened scales while in the air for considerable damage
• The Priestesses' of Nui have fled the Red Dragon's Keep and Iona, in fear for their well being and have congregated to a new safer distance away from the keep.
  • The West, East and Pirate respawns for RD have been adjusted away from the Red Dragon's keep
• Thunderwing Titan now drops 1x Thunderwing Titan Feather
  • This item will be used in crafting improved Thunderwing Titan weapons in the near future
• Additional changes planned for post 1.3.6

Features

• ArcheAge Classic now supports Discord Rich Presence
  • Displays player name, guild, gearscore while logged in with activity turned on for discord
  • In the future, we will be integrating referral links and more fun statuses into Discord.
• Megaphones (Global Chat) have been added to the game, and will be available in a coming marketplace update.
  • These are a consumable that allows you to send global, language-proficiency-ignoring messages across the entire server with a 45 second cooldown.
  • As with all public chat channels, Megaphones are subject to the same chat rules as usual. Please keep it clean enough that you still fall within our rules.

Bug Fixes

• "Trion" is no longer blocked by the chat filter when sent in chat.

Addon API

• UnitInfo restrictions on non-friendly targets have been reduced, now letting the following fields through:
  • "name", "type", "faction", "expeditionName", "level", "isAggressive", "isPlayerChar", "title", "social",

Important Errata

Patch notes previously showed 80 hours between bosses. This has been lowered to 56 hours so that players can enjoy more bosses per week. - Aguru

• The Megaphone Chat has been standardized to other chats
  • Color & Enable settings added per-tab
  • Fixed some issues with block list & double-messages
• Growth Timers on Boss Eggs for Red Dragon and Kraken have been adjusted
  • Original: 80 hours >> New: 53 hour (previously lowered to 56 which didn't account for active&cooldown phases)
• A new setting has been added in Misc. Settings: "Enable Discord Rich Presence"
  • Enabled by default, you can disable it to prevent our system from picking up and displaying your game activity on Discord
  • A client restart may be required for Discord to stop persisting the last picked up state
• Kraken T2 Crafts material display adjusted to its actual value of 1 Ink sack
