Enlightened Ayanad Accessories (Preview)

banner

  • Ayanad accessories can now be Enlightened using an Enlightened Runestone.
    • Dormant Runestones can be acquired from opening Library Research Bundles.
    • Enlightened Runestones are crafted using the following recipe:
      • 1x Dormant Runestone
      • 5x Starlight Archeum Essence
      • 50x Blue Salt Hammer
      • 1x Ayanad Starlight Blessing which requires the following for one:
        • 2x Acid Vessel
        • 2x Complete Cursed Armor
        • 100x Earthmana Leaf
        • 25x Prismatic Diamond
        • 1x Ayanad Accessory Scroll
        • 5x Black Pearl
    • Using an Enlightened Runestone on any Ayanad accessory will imbue that accessory and transform it into its Enlightened version.
    • Runestones are single-use.
  • In addition to the Ayanad accessories, certain world boss and dungeon accessories can also be Enlightened. Here’s the full list:
    • Crimson Watch Ring
    • Crimson Watch Earring
    • Assassin Ring
    • Assassin Earring
    • Assassin Necklace
    • Soothsayer Ring
    • Soothsayer Earring
    • Soothsayer Necklace
    • Sorcerer Ring
    • Sorcerer Earring
    • Sorcerer Necklace
    • Berserker Ring
    • Berserker Earring
    • Berserker Necklace
    • Storm Caller’s Hoop
    • Handle With Care
    • Titan’s Chain
    • Carmila’s Memory
  • In order to Enlighten the accessories listed above, you first need to craft an Enchantment Scroll.
  • Each accessory has its own unique Enchantment Scroll but the means to obtain them are the same.
  • To obtain an Enchantment Scroll, you need:
    • 1x Dormant Runestone
    • 1x Blank Regrade Scroll
    • 1x The accessory you wish to Enlighten. (To make the process easily explainable, we will use the Berserker Ring as an example. As stated before, the process is exactly the same for all accessories past this point.)
  • This recipe consumes the accessory used, the grade does not matter and results in an Enchantment Scroll.
  • Steps to Enlighten your unique non-Ayanad accessory:
  • Acquire a Berserker Enchantment Scroll by crafting the recipe above.
    • Note: Every piece of a “set” gives you the same Enchantment Scroll.
      • Eg. Using a Berserker Ring, a Berserker Earring or a Berserker Necklace in the crafting recipe will result in a Berserker Enchantment Scroll.
  • Acquire any variant of an Enlightened Ayanad Ring.
  • Eg. The type of Enlightened Ayanad accessory you’ll need depends on which piece of accessory you’re trying to acquire. Our example is a Berserker Ring, so we need an Enlightened Ayanad ring of any variant.
  • Use the Berserker Enchantment Scroll on the Enlightened Ayanad accessory.
  • Using the Berserker Scroll on an Enlightened Ayanad earring will result in a Berserker Earring, using the Scroll on a ring will result in a Berserker Ring and using it on a necklace will result in a Berserker Necklace.
  • And you have your Enlightened Berserker Ring.
    • As a reminder, the grade of the accessory used in this process is discarded. Only the grade of the Enlightened Ayanad accessory that is being imbued with the Enchantment Scroll is kept.
  • Enlightened Ayanad accessories now have 2-set effects.
    • Equipping a ring and an earring of a matching variant will allow you to utilize a unique set bonus.
    • On top of needing a matching set of an Ayanad ring and earring, you also need a matching Lunacharm slotted on your costume.
    • Here are all of the 2-set effects for all 7 Enlightened Ayanad accessory variants:
      • Lightning Earring + Lightning Ring + Lightning Charm:
        • 50% Increased gliding speed
        • +4 second to glider recovery time
      • Earth Earring + Earth Ring + Earth Charm:
        • +2 Maximum Abyssal Charge
      • Meadow Earring + Meadow Ring + Meadow Charm:
        • Abyssal Charges no longer decay
      • Life Earring + Life Ring + Life Charm:
        • Increases the rank of the following skills by +1:
          • Precision Strike
          • Earthen Grip
          • Shield Slam
          • Thwart
          • Hell Spear
          • Deadeye
          • Freezing Earth
          • Stalker’s Mark
          • Ode to Recovery
          • Renewal
        • Note: This bonus does not yet currently affect Ancestral or Enlightened variants.
      • Wave Earring + Wave Ring + Wave Charm:
        • +10 Post-Cast mana regen
      • Flame Earring + Flame Ring + Flame Charm:
        • Restore 100 HP upon blocking, parrying or evading any attack
      • Gale Earring + Gale Ring + Gale Charm:
        • Critical strikes increase movement speed by 3%, stacks up to 10
  • Each Charm requires the same 4 ingredients on top of requiring a unique ingredient depending on the variant of the Charm.
    • Here’s what the 4 common ingredients are to craft any Charm:
      • 2x Starlight Archeum Essence
      • 5x Misagon’s Crystal
      • 1x Accessory Regrade Scroll
      • 2x Imperfect Sigil acquired from the following recipe:
        • 5x Prime Lunarite
        • 10x Gilda Dust
        • 1x Anthalon’s Crimson Hallow
          • Note: This recipe results in 5 Imperfect Sigils.
  • On top of the 4 common ingredients listed above, each Charm requires one unique ingredient of their own.
    • Flame: 25x Saffron
    • Earth: 10x Pure Gold Ore
    • Wave: 1x Chilled Seafoam
    • Life: 1x Wild Ginseng
    • Gale: 100x Lily
    • Lightning: 1x Thunderstruck Log
    • Meadow: 100x Aloe
  • Enlightened Library Accessories have unique 3-set bonus effects.
  • Unlike Enlightened Ayanad 2-set bonus effects, you do NOT need a Charm to activate these effects.
  • As a note, with the exception of Berserker, the 3 Library accessory sets have their names changed upon being Enlightened.
    • Sorcerer > Arcanist
    • Soothsayer > Oracle
    • Assassin > Shadow
  • The list of sets and bonuses are as follows:
    • Berserker Ring + Berserker Earring + Berserker Necklace:
      • Taking any damage has a chance to trigger Berserker’s Instinct:
        • +1000 Attack Speed
        • 30s duration
        • 3m cooldown
    • Shadow Ring + Shadow Earring + Shadow Necklace:
      • While equipped, the user is granted a new passive, Ethereal Shift:
        • Movement speed increased by 30% while stealthed
        • Increases the duration of stealth from mount abilities by +30 seconds.
    • Arcanist Ring + Arcanist Earring + Arcanist Necklace:
      • Grants the Arcane Mastery passive:
        • Gain 100% maximum mana
      • Grants the Arcane Absorption passive:
        • 50% of incoming damage is converted into mana burn
        • Eg. If you were about to take 1000 damage, you would instead take 500 damage and lose 500 mana.
          • Note: This effect functions as healing. You will take 1000 damage regardless but lose 500 mana to restore 500 HP.
          • This heal is affected by healing bonuses but has an extremely low scaling value.
      • Oracle Ring + Oracle Earring + Oracle Necklace:
        • Grants the Fate’s Edict passive:
          • 20% mana cost reduction
          • -30% cast time
  • You have 2 new types of Lunafrosts to slot on the new Enlightened Accessories.
    • By default, Enlightened Accessories only have their equip effects and not their stats.
  • Eg. An Enlightened Wave earring will NOT have intelligence by default but will still have - damage reduction. This goes for Enlightened necklaces as well.
    • Here are the Lunafrosts the new Enlightened Accessories will accept:
      • Earrings and Rings
        • Perfect Lunasigils:
          • Flame: +35 Strength
          • Earth: +35 Stamina

          • Stone: +20 Stamina, +20 Spirit
          • Squall: +20 Stamina, +20 Agility

          • Tidal: +20 Intelligence, +20 Agility
          • Mist: +20 Spirit, +20 Agility
      • Necklaces:
        • Perfect Lunasigils (Same as listed above) OR
        • Radiant and Hollow Lunamarks:
          • Each skill tree has one Radiant and one Hollow Mark.
          • This means 20 Marks in total. (10 Radiants, 10 Hollows)
  • Imbuing your Enlightened necklace of any variant (including boss and dungeon necklaces) will grant you the corresponding Enlightened Skill.
  • Eg. Slotting a Radiant Auramancy Mark on your Enlightened Necklace will grant you Radiant Meditate.
  • For more information on all of the Enlightened Skills, please refer to the Enlightened Skills part of the patch notes.
  • To clarify, Enlightened necklaces will keep their equip effects in all cases and can either have a Perfect Lunasigil or a Radiant/Hollow Mark. Not both.
    • All Radiant Marks and all Hollow Marks share the same crafting recipe:
      • Hollow Marks:
        • 2x Imperfect Lunasigil
        • 3x Prime Lunarite
        • 5x Misagon’s Crystal
        • 2x Moonlight Archeum Essence
      • Radiant Marks:
        • 2x Imperfect Lunasigil
        • 3x Prime Lunarite
        • 5x Misagon’s Crystal
        • 2x Moonlight Archeum Essence
  • As a final note, all Enlightened Accessories have slightly higher equip effect values compared to their non-Enlightened counterparts. Since there are about 40 Enlightened Accessories, each with their own scaling factors, we encourage our players to use the in-game Item Encyclopedia to see all of the new values for themselves.

New Profession: Taming (Preview)

banner

  • Taming has been added as a new profession.
  • Taming is the first custom profession that is being added to Archeage Classic. This profession will fall under “Special” Category and revolve around taming wild beasts out in the world, either using these as your own personal mounts, trading them with other players or exchanging them for materials used in various different crafting recipes.
  • There are two ways to find wild beasts to tame.
    • 1- By roaming Erenor and finding wild, wandering tameable beasts
    • 2- By instigating tameable beasts to come out of their hiding by slaughtering their kind
  • Almost every zone in Erenor has wild beasts to tame, so explore and catch them all!
  • To start taming, you need a Tamer’s backpack, a simple leather-bound bag filled to the brim with crucial tools to tame beasts.
    • Currently, there are 3 tiers of backpacks:
      • Greenhorn’s Backpack: Requires 0 Taming proficiency to use
        • To craft this backpack, you need:
          • 5x Vita Seed
          • 10x Leather
          • 10x Apple
      • Wrangler’s Backpack: Requires 80.000 Taming proficiency to use
        • To craft this backpack, you need:
          • 1x Greenhorn’s Backpack
          • 10x Hay Bale
          • 10x Apricot
          • 10x Orange
          • 10x Pomegranate
          • 200x Whistle of the Wild (These will be explained later)
      • Herdmaster’s Backpack: Requires 200.000 Taming proficiency to use
        • To craft this backpack, you need:
          • 1x Greenhorn’s Backpack
          • 10x Royal Seed
          • 5x Wind Spirit Leather
          • 100x Cherry
          • 100x Jujube
          • 100x Coconut
          • 600x Whistle of the Wild
  • Taming is similar to fishing in terms of mechanics but has a little more depth.
  • When you attempt to tame a wild beast you will notice its HP drop drastically at first. That’s your progress bar to tame the beast.
  • The beast may display several “moods” during the taming process. React in time with the correct action and you will gain its trust and come closer to taming it.
  • When you’ve successfully filled the beast’s HP bar, it will accept you as its new owner and you will gain a Mysterious Beast. The type of beast is determined by the creature you’ve just tamed. If it was a boar, you’ll get a Mysterious Boar.
  • When you’ve successfully filled the beast’s HP bar, you will receive a Mysterious Beast in your inventory. There are a few extra modifiers fully dependent on luck, they are:
  • Rarities:
    • Your mysterious boar can currently be one of three grades:
      • Grand > 9.0 m/s
      • Arcane > 11.5 m/s
      • Celestial > 11.7 m/s
  • Personalities:
    • Your mount can have one of four personalities:
      • Ferocious
      • Hasty
      • Resolute
      • Spunky
  • These personalities determine your mount’s last three abilities. The first 2 abilities of each mount are unaffected by personality and are unique to each species.
    • Species:
      • As stated above, species determine the mount’s first 2 abilities.
  • Once you have your Mysterious Beast, there are a couple of things you can do with it. Let’s use a real example for the sake of simplicity. We just received an Arcane Mysterious Boar from taming a wild boar.
    • Right now your Arcane Mysterious Boar is not yet a mount, it is a sealed, tamed beast. Right now, the only thing you know about it is its base movement speed and its first 2 abilities. In its current form, you may trade it with other players or place it on the auction house.
    • If you prefer to keep it to yourself as a mount then you can unveil your mount to reveal its personality. Upon unveiling your Arcane Mysterious Beast, it can have any of the 4 personalities available.
      • Ferocious
      • Hasty
      • Resolute
      • Spunky
  • As stated earlier, the first 2 abilities of your mount are predetermined by its species. The last 3 abilities are determined by its personality. Each personality has 3 abilities.
  • From the 3rd ability slot to the 5th, each slot is a 50/50 between one ability from its personality pool and one ability from its species.
  • With these in mind, I’m sure you can imagine how many different combinations there are available.
  • Without listing all available abilities, you can think of each personality as a unique archetype:
    • Ferocious has abilities that are offensive and damage oriented.
    • Hasty abilities are focused on speed and covering a lot of distance.
    • Resolute’s ability pool is all about being tanky and surviving as long as possible.
    • Spunky has abilities that are mostly movement oriented.
  • Your last option with your new mount is to release it back into the wild using a Wildcaller Flute, available for purchase from any stablehand.
    • When a mount is released using the Wildcaller Flute, you are granted Whistles of the Wild. The exact amount varies depending on the rarity of the mount released.
      • On average:
        • Grand mounts yield ~3 Whistle of the Wild
        • Arcane mounts yield ~5 Whistle of the Wild
        • Celestial mounts yield ~10 Whistle of the Wild
        • These whistles are crucial to taming as almost every crafting recipe requires them in some amount.
  • On top of already extremely customizable mounts, we have added new custom mount armor sets as well.
    • Each set has 3 pieces; Shaffron (head slot), Saddle (body slot) and Cannonguards (legs slot). And each piece has 3 tiers; base, Regal and Ornate.
    • Currently, there are 4 sets available:
      • Support
      • Stout
      • Survey
      • Swift
  • These sets have unique 3-set bonuses available.
    • Support:
      • Increases mana Regen of all allies, pets and summons within a radius around the mount. Mana regen value and range increases with each tier. (base, Regal, Ornate)
    • Stout:
      • Decreases received damage of the mount and increases damage dealt by the mount. Values increase with each tier.
    • Survey:
      • Increases movement speed when overencumbered. Speed bonus increases with each tier.
    • Swift:
      • Mount ability cooldowns are reduced. The reduction goes up with each tier.
  • Each armor slot requires different materials to craft, however materials do not change between set types.

Primal Anthalon (Preview)

banner

  • Primal Anthalon is the latest Primal world boss added to Archeage Classic.
  • For these patch notes, we have decided not to explain all of the new mechanics Primal Anthalon now has, instead focusing on the new Primal Kyrios armor set and set effects. However, that being said, we would like to briefly mention and name a few of the new mechanics:
    • Festival of the Dead has gotten a significant boost. It is said Anthalon has gotten his hands on some particularly strong undead minions.
    • Anthalon has infused his signature ability, Absorb Mind, with the power of the Comet. It is now deadlier and much more potent. Now powered up with powerful undead chanters chanting words of binding, it will be quite a challenge to break free of his grasp.
    • With the Comet’s influence strong on Exeloch, Anthalon has managed to summon spires of immense power, biding his time to gather his strength further. Whatever he may be up to, is no good…
  • Added Primal Kyrios armor set.
    • Ilvl has been boosted to 62. (Equivalent to Ayanad)
    • Stat allocations on certain pieces have been adjusted.
      • Primal Kyrios Shirt is now full Stamina rather than Stamina / Intelligence
      • Primal Kyrios Sleeves are now full Intelligence rather than Stamina / Intelligence
      • Primal Kyrios Gloves are now Stamina / Intelligence rather than full Intelligence
      • Primal Kyrios Sash is now full Intelligence rather than Stamina / Intelligence
      • Primal Kyrios Pants are now full Stamina rather than Full Intelligence.
    • 4 and 7-set effects have been adjusted.
      • 4-set:
        • Grants 700 toughness.
        • There’s a low chance to trigger Anthalon’s Necromantic Flame upon receiving damage.
      • 7-set:
        • Decreases damage received by 4.5%
        • Has a low chance of triggering Primal Anthalon’s Mind Absorb upon dealing any damage.
        • Primal Anthalon’s Mind Absorb is a new ability.
        • Upon triggering Primal Anthalon’s Mind Absorb, the player is granted “Instant Acceleration for 3 minutes.
          • During the 3 minutes, the player can cast Instant Acceleration to teleport to any target within 20 meters. Upon teleportation, the surrounding area is swept in frost, snaring all nearby enemies in an 8m radius for 4 seconds.
          • After teleporting, the player is given 5 seconds to use “Absorb Mind”, Anthalon’s signature ability.
          • On use, Absorb Mind will grab up to 10 enemies within 15 meters and lift them for 4 seconds. There are a few key differences between Primal Anthalon’s Mind Absorb and regular Mind Absorb:
            • Shrug it off no longer breaks the user free from the lift.
            • Enemy players lifted by Mind Absorb are immune to all damage for the duration.
            • Mana burn and landing trip are not included.
            • The caster of Primal Anthalon’s Mind Absorb is CC immune during the duration.
            • Cooldown 180s.
  • There are two ways to acquire Primal Kyrios armor.
    • Upon being defeated, Primal Anthalon will drop a Primal Hallow and a piece of Primal Kyrios armor.
    • Players are able to use the following crafting recipe to upgrade their Corrupted Kyrios armor into Primal Kyrios.
      • 1x Corrupted Kyrios armor
      • 1x Blazing Cloudspun Fabric
      • 1x Complete Cursed Armor
      • 1x Acid Vessel
      • 1x Primal Hallow
      • Note: The grade of the Corrupted Kyrios armor used is kept however any gems and tempers will be lost in the process.
  • Recipes for all pieces of armor are identical.
  • Note: Primal Kyrios armor is bind on equip. Meaning upgrading a Corrupted Kyrios armor through the crafting recipe will unbind the armor until re-equipped.
  • We believe Primal Anthalon will be the most difficult boss in Archeage Classic but we believe the difficulty comes from new, interesting, custom mechanics rather than being a frustrating “bullet sponge”.
  • We hope all of you will enjoy Primal Anthalon as much as we enjoyed designing and testing him.

    • New players will now be guided through a custom questline involving acquiring their Hasla Emerald weapon and synthesizing it.
    • Currently the questline leads the player until they acquire a celestial Hasla Emerald weapon while helping them along each step with guidance and rewards. We recommend all new players to thoroughly read through the quest descriptions and if they still have any questions, ask in the new player help channel in our discord server!
    • The main questline will keep getting expanded upon to improve the new player experience and make the first experience smoother.
  • The East Nui in Sungold Fields has been moved closer to Sungold Crimson Rift.
  • Nuis in Exeloch have been moved closer to the purification zone.
