Remember the Crimson Rift? In Sungold Fields, once @NPC_NAME(8837)'s army has been defeated, he will come as a last ditch effort to invade Erenor once again.

Go out there in Sungold Fields and try to defeat @NPC_NAME(8837)!

@NPC_NAME(8837) takes very little magic damage, so you'll do better with swords than staves. Once he's been damaged enough he will start trying to absorb mana every minute to heal himself. Try to be invulnerable when he does it to avoid making him stronger! [Note: You only need to participate in the boss battle to get quest completion. Even if you lose, keep trying and when it dies you'll be rewarded!]
