Even if it's just a |nn;cottage|r, as long as you have an intact house in the area you're granted official Residency. Farms and gardens don't count, since you can't live on those. Well--hopefully you don't, anyway.

But enough of the technicalities. You're a Resident! That means you get access to the local Community Center, which grants different benefits as the whole region works together to improve it.

Community Centers are upgraded at the |nn;Community Center Workbench|r, which requires |nn;@ITEM_NAME(41488)s|r. You can earn tokens by completing Resident Quests.

When your Community Center reaches Rank 3, it grants special benefits. These benefits vary by region, but they include things like special merchants, workbenches, and a share in the region's profits!

If you're curious about our region's progress, you can always check the Resident Board to stay up to date. It'll tell you how much you've contributed to the Community Center so far.
