This orb is related to the Ayanad Council, the highest ranking mages who ran the great library.

The council members had quite a few secret meeting places tucked throughout Ayanad, and this orb is the key that unlocks one of them.

They often kept priceless and powerful relics in these secret chambers. I have no doubt, whatever artifact this key once guarded, still remains, waiting to be found again!

Sadly, the mana in the orb leaked out long ago, rendering it useless. We'll have to recharge it with mana taken from Ayanad mages.

They carry identification tokens that should have enough mana left in them. Bring me some |nn;@ITEM_NAME(31972)s|r, and we shall find out.
