I'm sorry, I couldn't help but overhear. Did you say that ring belongs to a spirit at the top of the lighthouse?

Yes! Do you know what it is? Do you know how to get rid of it?

Well, it does remind me of a song I learned once, involving a man named Rufus Seachild.... Can't quite remember the words, though. Say, would you mind playing a few notes on my lute? Maybe that would help.

Drat, I don't know how to play. How about you, @PC_NAME(0)? Can you play the Bard's Lute? Please, if there's even a chance of making these horrible visions stop...

Ah, yes, I remember now! It was about Count Seachild's brother, Rufus.

Everyone knows the Count went mad, of course. Sold his soul, filled his castle with demons, tried to fight the whole Illion army. But it was his younger brother, Rufus, who really got the worst of it.

When the Illion army came to conquer Cinderstone, Rufus tried to fight them off himself. But without his brother's help, he didn't stand a chance. He and his men were all slaughtered in Seachild Villa, just up the hill there.

They say his wife, Jenelle, went mad with grief when he was killed. She refused to come down from the lighthouse, insisting that her husband would return for her when it was safe... And if what you say is true, she's still up there, waiting.

It's a sad tale, to be sure. But I think it might just give us a way to free your friend here from the ring of Jenelle Seachild.
