Trade Run: Arcum Iris to Falcorth

So you're interested in crafting and farming, are you? Then you should know that the real money's in trading specialty goods, like @ITEM_NAME(31866).

Each region has its own unique goods, which can only be crafted at that region's |nb;Specialty Workbench|r. And because they can only be made there, they're in greater demand the further you travel from the area.

A clever trader carries his goods to where they're in the most demand, so he can earn the greatest reward.

If you sail to another continent, there are even merchants who will trade your goods for Gilda Stars! Earn enough of those, and you can use them on Mirage Isle to buy all sorts of wonderful things. Houses, gliders, clothes... you name it!

Why don't you try it for yourself? I've heard the Firran in Falcorth Plains are clamoring for @ITEM_NAME(31866). If you were to sell some to the Oxion Clan, I'm sure you'd make a tidy profit.

The first part's simple. Gather enough flowers to make |nb;@ITEM_NAME(30900)|r, grow some |nb;@ITEM_NAME(16268)|r, and buy a |nb;@ITEM_NAME(4747)|r from a General Merchant. Then go to Arcum Iris, and use a Specialty Workbench to craft @ITEM_NAME(31866).

It's getting the spice to the Oxion Clan that's the tricky part. Trade packs are heavy, and greatly reduce your rate of travel. You'll want to study the local airship and carriage routes to decide what will get you there the quickest.

Once you sell the spice to the Oxion Clan, come back here and I'll give you a special reward for completing your first trade run. After all, the Blue Salt Brotherhood wouldn't be much use without good trade routes, now would it?

|nb;Step 1: What's Trading?|r Trading lets you create local specialties and sell them outside the production area. The price of the items sold fluctuates depending on the distance traveled and the current market prices.

|nb;Step 2: Making Specialties|r Specialty goods can be crafted at the Specialty Workbenches found in each region's Housing Provinces. Every region has its own unique specialties.

All specialty goods are carried in trade packs, which are heavy backpacks that prevent gliding and reduce movement speed. To speed up deliveries, you may use transportation such as carriages, boats, and airships while carrying trade packs.

|nb;Step 3: Trading|r Specialty goods can be exchanged for Gold or Gilda Stars.

Specialties can be sold on any continent (including Freedich Island), but can't be sold in the zone where they were originally crafted.

Gold can be earned from traders in any city, but Gilda Stars can only be earned by selling your trade pack outside the continent on which it was made.
